The landscape seems to hold a mood that we can instinctively recognize. Scale encourages a sense of humility, awe, or quiet introspection. Grief, hope, calm, and solace can all find visual analogues in terrain. In these photographs, I hope to reveal this emotional resonance of the landscape—how vastness, light, and atmosphere can mirror our inner states and, in turn, shape how we feel. Equally, while a particular setting may trigger specific emotions, our own inner states can project meaning onto what we see. These photographs explore that exchange— where external perceptions and internal experience meet— reminding us that landscape is not only observed, but felt, and that deep meaning can form in an encounter between the land and the self.
