In these photographs, I sought to reduce architecture to its most elemental qualities—planes, masses, edges, and voids—transforming familiar built environments into studies of graphic forms. Mainly based on Adobe construction, these studies have expanded to include structures that similarly interact with light and shadow. By tightly framing and emptying them of context, these images often resist easy identification. They function not as a portrait of a building but as abstract compositions shaped by light and proportion. My hope is that they can bring a sense of quiet wonder where light, shadow, and form engage in a slow, deliberate dialogue that rewards careful and sustained looking.
